Reasoning
For this project I incorporated the thinking skill reasoning. I did this in a couple of ways . For my history portion I researched why modern pop music has no influence on politics and history, and then use reasoning to support this claim. I wanted to know why every song seemed the same and uses the same lines. My way of applying this to history was finding out how all of them being the same affected history. For my art portion I used reasoning for each part of my song, helping me decide the notes, chords, ext. I used the generic song build that annoyed me so much about modern pop music because that is what went big. Then for my la portion I used personal experiences as reasoning for each of my lines in my song. I wanted to take the death of my grandfather and poor my heart break into the words. Every line meaning something different in my stages of grief.
About My History Portion
For my history portion I created a presentation explaining why music has lost its meaning and how it has no affect on history. I covered a few basic points on why this has happened including how music has lost its meaning because the music industry has become about money, not self expression. I discussed this caused musicians to sacrifice quality for quantity. It also caused them to make the music about the listener and not about self expression and the creation of art. I finally then discussed how the majority of people don't care, and how change only happens when people care

About My Art Portion
|
For my art portion I composed a song. I used one of the most common formats for a song chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus. I used ukulele chords from "Stereo Hearts" by Adam Levine and then used them on the guitar for a better sound output.
